The Palencia User’s Manual is 12 pages of instructions, tips, hints and guidelines to help you make the most of Palencia. The manual leads you through installing the sizes of Palencia you need, gives guidelines for using Palencia effectively, provides a chart of Palencia’s special characters and how to type them, and much more!
Because of all the new word processors on the Mac market today, it would not be practical to make a manual which could be used by each and every one of them, so we decided to do it ourselves. To print out the manual, simply choose Print Manual… from the file menu (and perhaps choose Page Setup… beforehand if you wish) and choose the quality of printing and click on the OK button. If you would like to get a preview of what Palencia looks like in print, make sure you print the manual out in High Quality. It’ll take a while longer, but you will be rewarded with a beautiful manual you can keep for reference.
The changes in the manual since the last version (2.1) are very slight, most of them being grammatical corrections and the like (and with help from Barry Hill-Tout from the Univ. of Ottawa, maybe we got them all?!?), but there have been a few minor changes which list new features.
Because many users have asked for a way to print a registration form out without having to print the whole manual, a Print Registration Form command has been added to the FILE menu. If you select this command, only the registration form and errata sheet (which lists new features and changes) will be printed, not the entire manual.
